چکیده

For the stationary invertible moving average process of order one with unknown innovation distribution F , we construct root-n consistent plug-in estimators of conditional expectations E(h(Xn+1)|X1, . . . , Xn). More specifically, we give weak conditions under which such estimators admit Bahadur type representations, assuming some smoothness of h or of F . For fixed h it suffices that h is locally of bounded variation and locally Lipschitz in L2(F ), and that the convolution of h and F is continuously differentiable. A uniform representation for the plug-in estimator of the conditional distribution function P (Xn+1 ≤ · |X1, . . . , Xn) holds if F has a uniformly continuous density. For a smoothed version of our estimator, the Bahadur representation holds uniformly over each class of functions h that have an appropriate envelope and whose shifts are F -Donsker, assuming some smoothness of F . The proofs use empirical process arguments. AMS 2000 subject classification. Primary: 62M09, 62M10.

Complete convergence of moving-average processes under negative dependence sub-Gaussian assumptions

The complete convergence is investigated for moving-average processes of doubly infinite sequence of negative dependence sub-gaussian random variables with zero means, finite variances and absolutely summable coefficients. As a corollary, the rate of complete convergence is obtained under some suitable conditions on the coefficients.

Comparison of autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) model

Proper models for prediction of time series data can be an advantage in making important decisions. In this study, we tried with the comparison between one of the most useful classic models of economic evaluation, auto-regressive integrated moving average model and one of the most useful artificial intelligence models, adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS), investigate modeling procedur...

Moving Average Processes with Infinite Variance

The sample autocorrelation function (acf) of a stationary process has played a central statistical role in traditional time series analysis, where the assumption is made that the marginal distribution has a second moment. Now, the classical methods based on acf are not applicable in heavy tailed modeling. Using the codifference function as dependence measure for such processes be shown it be as...

Modified Maximum Likelihood Estimation in First-Order Autoregressive Moving Average Models with some Non-Normal Residuals

When modeling time series data using autoregressive-moving average processes, it is a common practice to presume that the residuals are normally distributed. However, sometimes we encounter non-normal residuals and asymmetry of data marginal distribution. Despite widespread use of pure autoregressive processes for modeling non-normal time series, the autoregressive-moving average models have le...

Availability Prediction of the Repairable Equipment using Artificial Neural Network and Time Series Models

In this paper, one of the most important criterion in public services quality named availability is evaluated by using artificial neural network (ANN). In addition, the availability values are predicted for future periods by using exponential weighted moving average (EWMA) scheme and some time series models (TSM) including autoregressive (AR), moving average (MA) and autoregressive moving avera...

A Comparative Study of Two Technical Analysis Tools: Moving Average Convergence and Divergence V/S Relative Strength Index: A Case Study of HDFC Bank ltd listed in National Stock Exchange of India (NSE)

Technical analysis is the forecasting of future price movement based on an examination of past prices. Some scientist found that the study of historical prices cannot predict future prices. In this research we intend to study which technical analysis tool is better for prediction of future price movement, for this purpose we are studying two the most strongest technical analysis tools is called...
